Lord, because of what sin has done to this world, sometimes life feels only sad and hard, with no spot of hope or silver lining. But today I want to have a heart of gratitude. Things are not perfect, but You are still good, and there is always a reason to praise You. For starters, thank You for sending Your perfect Son, Jesus, to make a way for me to be right with You. Thank You that even now, You are preparing a place in heaven for me to be with You forever (John 14:2). In Jesus’ name, amen.
